GloRilla Honored With Key To Memphis During Annual 901 Day
Labor Day weekend was special for GloRilla. For the Tennessee city’s 901 Day, the Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School alumni, who started playing music as a teen, was a special guest. The Collective Music Group musician posted photographs of herself onstage downtown on Sunday (September 1), receiving the Key to Memphis. “Memphis made me; Frayser raised me,” she captioned. “The key to my city is mine. Memphis celebrates 901!” In the comments, Megan Thee Stallion, Kid Capri, Lola Brooke, and others praised her. GloRill received the key over a year after Drake received it in Memphis. Drake spent his childhood Memphis summers with his father, Dennis Graham. He has sung and filmed about his “second home” throughout his career.
Who should receive the key to the city?
