Plies Sues Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, Soulja Boy for Song-Stealing

Plies is suing Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Cardi B for copyright infringement, claiming they used his beat in their hit song “Wanna Be.” He also alleges that Soulja Boy stole the same beat for his track “Pretty Boy Swag.” The lawsuit seeks damages from the artists and their record labels. Plies asserts that the infringement occurred on his 2008 song “Me & My Goons.” The lawsuit also names Meg’s Hot Girl Productions, Soulja’s former imprint Collipark Productions, Universal Music Group, Collective Music Group, and Interscope as defendants.
